THE MUSIC
What if Elvis Costello and Lucinda Williams got in a pick-up truck and drove across America writing songs?
We're pretty sure they'd meet an unlikely mix of characters along the way, such as...
Mrs. Jones, the hearse-driving divorcee ("Mrs. Jones Cadillac"):
"Every grievance that she's nursed
Rides behind her in the hearse
What you don't bury you carry along
But the stench gets a little strong"
The guy sohopelessly in love, he'd do anything ("Wherever You Are"):
"If you were the leader of a suicide cult
You're so damn beautiful I'd do as I'm told
I'd drink your Kool-Aid, I'd drink your Kool-Aid"
And Lisa Nowak, the diaper-wearing astronaut ("The Magic Sky"):
"Did the cosmic radiation make her yearn for love?
Was the sense of being weight-less simply not enough?"

They might talk about moments of transformation — that interval when a decision is made, an emotion discovered, or a life upended. They'd probably tell stories that combine wry humor and bittersweet irony to reveal aunique perspective on life and music. Or maybe Elvis & Lucinda would just kick back, enjoy the road, turn on the radio, and listen to the Kevin Beadles Band instead.
The Kevin Beadles Band is an Americana jam-rock band that plays predominantly original music influenced by Elvis Costello, Lucinda Williams, John Hiatt, Tom Petty, Ryan Adams, and Neil Young. We unite the wisdom of jazz with the back porch, down-homedrawl of Southern rock, gospel, blues, and country. What you get is roots music with plenty of branches.
Kevin (vocals, acoustic guitar) has written many of his songs with the guidance of two of America's finest songwriters: Steve Seskin and Bonnie Hayes. The band presents a beautifully crafted, inspired, and spontaneous live performance featuring John Foster (electric guitar, vocals), Rob Wenig (6-string bass), and Jeremy Steinkoler (drums, vocals) that has led to recurrent bookings at clubs and festivals throughout the Bay Area."
